In AGM batteries, the electrolyte (a mixture of water and sulphuric acid) is largely absorbed by the glass fibres. This type of battery is completely maintenance-free. No gas is formed during normal use. Since these batteries do not require ventilation, they can be installed anywhere.

Our batteries are suitable for both buffer operation and cyclic operation:

• Buffer operation (emergency power supply) - The battery is constantly connected to the charging system and serves as an emergency power source in the event of a power failure.
• Cyclic operation - once charged, the battery is an independent power source for the connected devices; once discharged, it is recharged.

When not used in buffer mode, AGM batteries must be charged with special chargers. These chargers provide the correct charging current for the battery. Using car chargers or other chargers to charge the batteries will in most cases cause damage to the battery. Especially in cyclic operation, the battery must be recharged after each use, the battery must not be discharged below the cut-off voltage thresholds and must not be left (stored) in a discharged state.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Particularly in the case of cyclic operation, the battery must be recharged after each use, must not be discharged below the voltage thresholds and must not be left or stored discharged. The battery must always be kept clean. When washing or cleaning the battery, no agents or liquids must get into the battery. Maintenance-free batteries must be charged on the same basis as serviceable batteries.
